Mountain Path

It was midday when we arrived on the top edge of the mountain and looked beneath our feet across the floor plan of the ancient city and the coral blue sea. I turned behind my back and I saw Idomeneus who was left dumbfounded by the breathtaking view. He pressed the button on his camcorder: "I have never seen anything like that...what a beautiful place! I have crossed the whole island for so many times but I never stop to study our ancient history, my daughter Corinne. Years ago, I passed beside Lisos without noticing it", he said turning on the camcorder with a gesture of enthusiasm moving back and forth, starting to shoot at almost everything around.

We began to descend the narrow path again watching the signs of E4, not to lose the way. After half an hour, we arrived to the eastern entrance of the temple of Asclepius. The heat was considerably less indeed and the air was much cooler. Generally the atmosphere in the valley seemed very relaxed and really friendly. Its shape, like a cocoon doesn’t let the outside weather affect Asclepeion of Lisus. Like an invisible dome it keeps it in a clean and clear atmosphere. The whole place had a nice balance as if it were air-conditioned.
